A Probe Into the Popularity of Enrique Peña Nieto

Enrique Peña Nieto, a top contender for the coming Mexican polls, is known for more than his politics, due to his impressive countenance. It is safe to say that prevailing opinion holds him the top contender among the candidates. Nieto presents a formidable, nail-biting challenge to the other presidentiables.

Despite the period for campaigning not yet officially starting, Nieto's fame among the voters has been steadily rising. One of Nieto's particular skills is rhetorical delivery, for his gestures and tones are impressively effective whenever he makes a public address. Nieto also happens to be an extremely charismatic person, with an innate magnetism.

Some people say that the man's rise to fame was all due to a contract with the biggest TV network in the country. He reportedly paid the mass media giant large sums of money over the last five years to advertise the accomplishments of his previous administration in the state of Mexico. This, they say, is why Televisa always seems to be in support of Nieto's work.

Notably enough, these claims came out after Nieto and Angelica Rivera confessed to their relationship. Rivera is famous in her own right, perhaps even more popular than Nieto in a sense, given how many times her face has shown up in various soap operas with a cult following. Nieto eventually married Rivera, some time after his previous wife passed away.

Pretelini was able to give Nieto three children prior to her passing. On the second year of his governorship of the state of Mexico, his wife Pretelini died due to a seizure-induced arrhythmia and respiratory arrest. The result of Pretelini's passing was a renewed interest in the handsome Nieto as people wondered who would be his next wife.

His popularity among women is just part of Enrique Peña Nieto's emotional appeal to the public. Nieto is also famous for his "compromisos", oaths to answer the needs of constituents. He is known for having prioritized public works and related projects.

Nieto actually used the completion of various promised projects as campaign events. It is little wonder that Nieto's repute is that of a person who can stay true to his word. Nonetheless, some claim that Nieto has spent more on organizing the social events promoting his achievements than on keeping the promises themselves.

His critics managed to get other fodder for their remarks about him when he made a few gaffes at the Guadalajara Book Fair. The former governor became the target of jokes for failing to recall the titles and authors of books that he considered his favorites. He said then that he always found it hard to remember titles and authors, being more concerned with the text itself.

His inability to recall such details got a lot of his critics laughing at his expense, though. The issue was further ignited when his eldest daughter, Paulina, labeled her father's critics as a bunch of morons who only criticize him because they envy his position. Despite Nieto's attempt to admit to his own errors and to that of his child in her "undiplomatic" retort, the detractors have not paused in their criticism of him.

Enrique Peña Nieto has stated that many of the things he says are often misinterpreted by critics. Still, he has the strongest presidential bid to date. Nieto is still considered the person with the biggest chance of winning because of his popularity with voters.
